Yes I’ve got a new blog and its going to be twice the fun, twice as healthy, twice as informative and just generally new and interesting – get involved, change your RSS, call your mum etc and so on.

The thing that gets me about these that I love is that all of the people speaking are really maverick and the advice they give kids is the sort of stuff that takes years of trial and error to work out for yourself – the thing that annoys me about them is that the audience is all made of super smart kids only just turning 20 – I wish I’d had something like that when I was younger. Anyway I guess better to find them now rather than never.

Here’s an interesting article about Orange getting pissed with Nokia’s new mobile music service – will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Anyway – something has been playing on my mind for a while now -a while ago I wrote a post about Vice magazine’s birthday party – which you can read here – anyway I just want to say that I feel that I was definitely grumpy when I wrote that post – I have since worked on a couple of projects for Vice now and I have nothing but love for them – the people they employ are across the board intelligent, interesting, funny and occasionally visionary. This may sound like a cop out because they gave me work but I truely believe that its a great company, they’ve changed people’s perceptions of ‘free’ magazines and now that they’ve stopped with the whole ‘themed’ issue thing they really can get down to tackling ‘issues’ and the whole VBS thing is just other level – now you may call me a cunt, that maybe I’m missing the point but I really don’t think so. Anyway I just wanted to share that with the probably 2 people that have this RSS feeded into their lives – keep an eye out – I may keep this blog alive in some whey shape or form or I may set up a new blog called Sign O’ the Times which is just photos of signs that I see – thoughts please

Safe! Me and my boys Toby and Tom are putting on a night at the Old Blue Last on July 7th – its gonna be well mega. We’ve got Invasion playing who sound like Queens of the Stone Age but with a female vocalist, Turbowolf who are bonkers like the B52s but good and a couple of other bands that I can’t remember the name of at the moment. I’m gonna post some tunes from all of the bands in the run up to the event so keep and eye/ear out.

I’m pretty excited at the moment – I saw another Brooke Shields Alphabet this weekend – odd though as it was in some back street in Belgravia which is kind of a random posh place to see something like this – anyway I got home and did another google search and found a little piece on the Londonist about it. Turns out someone has set up a flickr group for it. The best thing is that the dude who set up the group has mapped all of the sightings on google maps – wooot – I love it when stuff like this comes together. Anyway I don’t know whether its some viral campaign or just somebody who thought the words sound fun together – I think it might be the latter – kind of remindsme of the sports rave poster I saw the other day – the words sound great together but what the fuck is a Sports Rave????????

I really want to post this tune but don’t have anything special to say – this song is beautiful. I mentioned Jack Penate a while ago, he’s still out there, go check him out – this is defo gonna be one of my sitting in the sun summer tunes – just beautiful.

Here’s a little article written by Wagner James Au, who writes New World Notes, about marketing in Second Life. Interesting how he mentins how most people don’t respond to the brand initiatives however SL residents continue to create their own huge events / brands. I think this bounces back to what Gerd Leonhard (and everyone else is saying) about consumers becoming producers or as he put it ‘the deers have guns’.
