So I’ve been seeing Kate Nash’s name around a lot recently but only got round to seeing her last week and promptly fell in love. She’s amazing, seriously really really good BUT stylistically people are going to herald her as the next Lilly Allen which I think will only damage her career. Download these songs and pretend that you never heard silly Allen – I’ve seen Lilly a bunch and to be honest she’s not a great singer, she has to sing quietly to keep in tune – Kate has a really great voice and her songs are much more sincere than Lilly’s – plus on Shit Song she plays the piano riff from Sweet Harmony which is amazing.

She has a gig coming up supporting Tilly And The Wall – you know when you see footage of screaming girls passing out and going mental at Justin Timberlake gigs and stuff – well I’m gonna be the boy version of that at the gig!
